When dreaming up their perfect city pied-àterre, a New Hampshire family envisioned all things Japandi. Enter Desiree Burns of Desiree Burns Interiors (dburnsinteriors.com), who recently returned from her trip to Japan, captivated by contemporary and functional interiors. Together, the clients and Burns created the perfect minimal-organic style using neutral shades. “The style was intuitively familiar to our signature look (contemporary-organic), but at the same time, it was unfamiliar territory being inspired by Japanese design, which made it exciting to work on,” Burns shares.
