COMMONWEALTH AVENUE APARTMENT

This project was the definition of design on a dime. The owners wanted to convert the space to an Airbnb unit. My goal was to keep the colors dark to prolong showing signs and wear and tear but still make the space bright and welcoming. The look is slightly edgy, a little boho-chic, and modern. It was a challenge to find budget friendly pieces that were high quality enough to look expensive and last after more than just a few months of good use. I focused the bulk of the tight budget on key pieces like the sofa, area rug, coffee table, and chairs, doing some extreme bargain hunting for accessory items like the throw pillows and art. The consistent incorporation of white throughout all of the rooms and pops of greenery helped to balance out the dark.
